No, the 8800 does not have the RF puck, when you take the puck out of the 9800 it becomes a 8800. When I removed a puck from a 9800, there was nothing but he four pins. I just received my 9910 yesterday, so I can't say if they changed the configuration of the puck. I gave my modified 2116 to my BIL.
