Thanks, guys. I've read that the 8800 also has RF but comes without the receiver -- is that true?
Also, I note that when I first tried the transplant, I found the puck in the 2116 (plugged into the pcb with 4 connector pins as advertised) but I also found a separate coil glued nearby. I messed the coil up pretty badly when I tried to remove it along with the puck -- is the coil part of the rf apparatus or am I supposed to leave alone?? (I had assumed the coil was some kind of antenna for the rf, but people talked only about a single 'puck' when they talked about upgrading the 2116 so I wasn't sure.) If I'm supposed to remove the coil, I can't imagine how I could do that without breaking the connection.
