The 8811 has only one LED. My experience with the 7200 is that it has a much better spread and range than most other remotes.
I never tested the 8811, but it is closely related to the 6012, which has pretty rotten spread and range for a UEI remote. The 6012 has two batteries and the 8811 has four, which might be a bigger factor than design similarities. I've tested an RCU810, which is another UEI model with one LED and four batteries. It's significantly worse than a 7200 but significantly better than a 6012.
I've tested only one RCU810. I've tested two 6012's with indistinguishable results from each other, and tested two 7200's and a 6800, all with indistiguishable results from each other.
