I hope this is a good place to ask this question, assuming so since its an OFA forum.

I just bought an OFA remote (URC 5741) at Walmart for $9 to try to program some discrete power on/off codes for my MX-500 remote. So far am having little luck with this remote. It does appear to use the 9.9.x programming method but when I follow the instructions on hifi-remote's website for this general class of remote it does not appear to work.

Does anyone here have any experience with this remote or similiar ones in the same 5xxx range?

Specifically what I am trying to get discrete power codes for is:

Runco 700 series projector
Denon AVR 38xx receiver
Sony DVP-7000 DVD
Mitshubishi S-VHS VCR
and an Echostar sat.

I have found some discrete codes on hifi-remote but thus far can't seem to get them into this URC 5741 remote. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
