Just recived the rechargable battery pack this week. after a full 14 hour charge found it would not work. Got my multimeter out and checked it found 5.53v funny a 5 cell pack should give approx 6.5v. noticed the battery case was split at the seams dismantled it to find 4 AAA 550mah nimh cells. on closer examination found metal contact strips were spot wellded / soldered had been done poorley (dry joints ) re-soldered and tested OK. also found NO insulating protection at end of batteries This could cause shorts as some of the contacts are verry close to each other.

A cheaper way would be to get 4 1800mah AA cells and a wall charger.
