I found the recent thread about 15-1994 replacements pretty interesting. I just recently acquired a JP1 cable and it's amazing what I've got my 15-1994 to do by using the cable and a couple of John Fine's extenders.

John Fine made the comment in that thread that no extenders have been written for the 2116. I couldn't live without the extended memory for all my key moves and macros - I've finally got all the buttons I need, no learned buttons, macros on the device keys, etc.

So the question is, why aren't there any extenders for the 2116? Is it just too new? Are the JP1 guru's working on extenders for the 2116/2117's? Or should I grab an 8811 now (in case those go the way of the 1994?
