A 9960 can be upgraded by .wav file.

If you call OFA customer support in the USA, they can play a .wav file over the phone to add one or a few setup codes to your 9960. But they probably won't know which setup code is right for the 52JW642S.

The web based support for the Urc-8060 lists seven setup codes for Thomson TV's. If you called OFA customer support in Europe, they might know which of the seven is right for your Thomson, but they probably can't help you load it into a 9960.

Most of the Thomson TV's whose IR data has been uploaded here at RC, match the OFA setup code TV/0625 (which is present in only a few European models of OFA remote and no USA models, but could be added by .wav file). If you need to guess a setup code that is the best guess. Some models it works for are:

28DG22C
46RH44E
44RW65ES
52RW65ES
52RW64E
52RW76EW
32VK66EW
32WF64E
28WS23U

Some models it does NOT work for are:

55MPS71
70MXC97
81MXC98
32VT65J

Maybe your Thomson dealer knows whether any of those has the same or different IR codes as your model.

I posted a JP1 upgrade which is a superset of all the TV/0625 compatible models I found at RC. It is in the Yahoo JP1 file archives. With a JP1 cable it's easier to add that to a 9960 than adding an upgrade via .wav file and gives you more flexibility. But I assume you haven't (yet) purchased a JP1 cable.

The (free) JP1 software also lets you convert an upgrade to a .wav file, so you can load it into a 9960 without the cable. But it takes a little more JP1 expertise to run the software to convert an upgrade to .wav than to load it via cable, so it's a bit much for a JP1 beginner to do.

I might have time tomorrow to convert that file to .wav form and post it somewhere if you want to try loading it. Loading a .wav file from your computer to the 9960 may be easier than over the phone from OFA customer support in the USA.
