There's no need to start a new thread every time you have a new question about your 15-2116. If you keep all of your questions in the one thread we will have alot more context when answering you. Plus it would be nice to get a response to some of the answers we provide, which you have yet to do.

Most of the newer OFA and RS remotes have some special handling logic added for the POWER button (for the global POWER macro) and one of the side effects of this is that often the POWER button cannot be programmed using learning or advanced codes, but it is still programmable using JP1.

The Kameleon is no better or worse in this regard. Where did you hear that the Kameleon wasn't good for satellite and what's supposed to be wrong with it?
