Hey,

I feel like I'm in over my head here and could really use some help . . .

I just purchased the One For All URC 6131 remote last night. I used it to replace our four remotes for our JVC tv, Sony VCR and our Panasonic SC-HT290 entertainment system, along with satellite and PVR. Whew! It worked great for the VCR, Satellite, TV, DVD portion of the home theater and all of the PVR except for the skip back function.

I went online and found the EFCs for all of our products (thanks to the HiFi remote site), except for the SA-HT290 Receiver. I was able to add the functions we wanted for the other items and to get the back button on the PVR working. I was very pleased and really like the remote.

The problem now is the darn home theater receiver. It will only turn on and off with the Panasonic receiver code 1518, but it has no functionality at all. I can turn the thing on and off and turn the volume up and down and that's pretty much it. I need to be able to choose the device that it is working with, subwoofer level, digital or mono, etc. This should be a cinch with the EFCs but I cannot locate them. I've looked everywhere.

The HiFi remote site does not have the 1518 codes listed. I've checked every forum and board I can think of and cannot find a single post about the HT290. I've tried deciphering the codes myself, but must be doing it wrong. All I've found is about 4 different codes that turn the device on and off, and I doubt any of them is the right one, as they only work sporadically.

I tried using the codes listed for the Panasonic HT390 without any success. This makes me wonder if the 1518 is the proper setup code to begin with. At any rate, any help would be appreciated, as I cannot go to one remote without proper use of the receiver.

Please let me know if there is any guidance or answers out there.

Thanks!
