Hello, I just bought an URC 8910 to replace my old Cinema 7 (non-learning). It works great and I was able to setup all my devices and macros in about an hour. However, the ir transmitter is finicky when controlling my Harman/Kardon receiver and Magnavox dvd player. I have point the remote almost exactly at the ir sensor in the device. But with my Pioneer cd player, Panasonic tv, and Magnavox vcr, I can point the remote almost anywhere in the room and the device responds. My old Cinema 7 and the original remotes for dvd player and receiver are not as picky the the 8910, so I don't think there's anything wrong with the devices. Does anybody know why the remote would have a harder time getting signals to some devices and not others? Is there a way I could modify the remote to make it send a wider or stronger signal? Thanks for the help.
