I am trying to reset a single device key on my
2116. I have tried every reset I can think of.
Easy to do since I can just put back my default
settings with IR if I screw it. But so far nothing
I have done has cleared this button. I am trying
to clear the AUX button and no matter what I do
it still says RCVR. I want to train the thing
to learnt he tivo functions but it won;t accept
anything but RCVR codes for the AUX button now.
Any ideas?

When you say "I can just put back my default settings with IR if I screw it" are you referring to the JP1 program IR.exe? If so, you can make all your changes alot easier in IR than you can trying to do them on the remote itself.

However, if you still want to know how to do a full restore to the factory default settings, go back and read the 7th post in this thread...

Seeing as how this thread has in fact become the
un-official manual for the 15-2116, 15-2117, URC-8910
and URC-9910 remotes, I figure I might as well
document how to do a full Factory Defaults reset
here.

The manual supposedly describes how to return
to factory defaults, but what it in fact describes
is an "OPS RESET", which is the same as a 980
style reset on non-LCD remotes. Here's how you
do a 981 style reset...

1) Hold SETUP (green P), till screen reads "CODE SET"

2) Press RECORD

3) Select MFR RESET from the LCD menu.
