Updated question about this remote....

I tried the DVD/VCR combo code from another thread (0830) and it wasn't found. I have a Samsung dvd-v4600 dvd/vcr combo, and I've tried all the Samsung dvd and vcr codes on this remote, and none of them seem to do anything. I'm going to keep trying codes in hopes of getting basic functionality, but I understand that without JP1, I really can't learn all the functions without running out of memory.

Has anyone had any luck with a Samsung Combo player and this remote? Is the remote upgradeable?
