The buttons simply say "-" and "+". I'll try
different combos and see what happens.

Roberta

Hello Roberta I see you have some of the zoom controls I have on my Toshiba SD-4800, it's quite a state of the art device like the one you seen in "Blade Runner" only this one you can pan and scan a single frame while on pause on the 24p (24 frames per second or 30p when on PAL)) and either zoom it out or back in for your best view. The one I have will allow you to view up to and including 1024 times normal usng the +(plus sign) and much lower using the -(minus sign) to your best view. I used this device to show the group alt.discuss.JFK.conspiracy all the possibilities that were present the day JFK was shot on November 22, 1963.

The first movie I seen that used this technique was the James Bond film "The Spy who loves Me" then "Mission to Mars" I use it frequently to not only zoom up a frame but to pan aroung that frame and zoom up certain things I would like to be much clearer to me.

Roberta I have been waiting for this machine since I first saw "Blade Runner" and seen its possibilities if it were to come out as real device, not a device only seen in a science fiction movie.

I do hope this helps you and all that are intrested in the facinating possibilities now available to Toshiba and a few other makes. I like this over my JVC because you can view it without the zoom words enabled all the time your in the zoom mode. :)
