Ahh, yes. Come to the forum that supports these
remotes, and before bothering to learn more about
them, trash them.

After $ in phone charges to the support line, 3 downloads without success and 1 hour on the phone. The CSR suggested that I send the offending remotes along with manuals and the Kameleon to Calf. postal costs, the risk of real loss, customs delays et all.... makes my decision easy.

I can now say with authority that I've learned that returning the unit is the best solution, even though it cost me a 15% restock.

...and then ask for some help. (Sigh)

No point in asking for help, for a badly engineered design that needs support groups. (obviously misguided souls)
I pointed out the obvious (didn't work on all my 4 devices) I've had better luck with my Palm Pilot and software in learning mode which doesn't seem to have memory limits.

Good luck. You're best bet is to do as John said
and learn about the capabilities of these remotes
with jp1 software. You may be singing a different
tune afterwards.

Your energy should be directed at the manufactuer. Get them to open up the code base a bit more. It's just plain easier to move into something like a Harmony 628 from Dell for $79 CDN instead of singing tunes off key.
