Okay, as I've posted in another thread, I had an older version of the 9960 that was unable to have the motion sensor deactivated via the 9-8-5 code. I exchanged it and got a new version, URC-9960B01, which allows this and I've done.

Now on to entering various advanced codes....

Using "1877" for a SciAtl cable/PVR (I tested the suggested "0877" and "1877" device codes and the difference was that 1877 did one function more than 0877), I try entering, for example, 249, for "List". I've found more than one sequence for entering advanced codes and am pretty sure the one I'm using is correct, but I'll post it next. By the way, the sequence OFA support e-mailed me is incorrect.... :)

I do this:

-- Press the device key (in this case, "CBL")
-- Press/hold Setup for two blinks
-- Press Other, then 9-9-4
-- Press Device key again
-- Press Setup for one blink
-- Enter the advanced code, in this case, 249
-- Press the key I want to "re-map", in this case, "Menu" (it's redundant with "Guide")

You can follow this sequence. Others leave out the 2nd Device keypress, for example, so then you don't have the keys available to re-map with.

I've tried resetting the remote to the factory defaults (9-8-0) more than once. I've also cleared all of my "custom" entries using another code (9-7-7). Both of those are from memory and may not be correct but I used the manual to do them so at the time, I know I used the right code.

How can I give this thing a kick to accept advanced codes ?? Am I skipping a step somewhere or is there something else I need to do first ?? Did something change with the "B01" revision ??

By the way, with the original remote, I did enable various advanced codes such as "List" and 8-second-rewind for the CBL/PVR device as well as "Input: DVD/LD" for my Sony audio reciever.
