FYI: The new remote has a ~1/4" wide indent running down each side, and this creates a pair of raised edges, which can make it uncomfortable to hold. My solution was to fill these indents with a strip of 2mm self-stick craft foam, which can be purchased in craft stores for something like 79¢ for a 9"x12" sheet. It looks kind of cool with the padding added.
