I have the learning 7800. I also know how to use the JP1 cable. I do have to upgrade it because it has the 25pin serial connector instead of 9 that computers come with now.

I completely programmed my 7800 a while back and have not looked at it since. Basically, it just keeps working. I do have to keep basterdizing other remote controls. I cut off the rubber tips and glue them on to the 7800. :)

I just bought the OPPO and it hasn't come yet (it will be here Tuesday). I wasn't thinking and forgot I would have to redo all the DVD codes.
