Rob, I was reading on the hi-fi non-jp1 forum
a post titled "trouble with pioneer receiver."
This is the problem I'm having except I can adjust
speaker size, sub on/off, speaker distance, x-over,
Ican do everything except adjust the levels. Apparently
the answer to my problem is the code 1013 upgrade
listed under VSX D509s.

My problem is that my rs 15 1918 is made for
3 digit codes. as you already know. Radio shack
support does still do the modem upgrades. I called
and they downloaded code 1122. They didn't have
my VSX d508 listed and the RCA STAV 3970 (pioneer
made) that they did have listed does everything
the pioneer does conserning responce to remote
commands. I have both models and no remote for
either one. The light blinked twice when the download
was complete, so we assumed the download was succesful.
RS support said I would have to go through the
code search to find the code since I could not
access a 4 digit code with a 3 digit device. I
still haven't found it.

Any chance I could get you to send me a WAV file
of code 1013 ?
