no, you're certainly correct, i don't often change many of those settings (and the speaker distances/sizes stuff is on the setup menu that i can't access at all, anyway)... but there are some that i do occasionally modify (like effect level) depending on the movie i'm watching or whatever.
no, it's almost 100% a case of "dammit, because i *wanna*!" it's become a mystery to be solved... it's my own personal Myst puzzle. ;)
there *are* some things in the menus that i do occasionally want to be able to tweak, in those three menus, but you're probably right, i could survive with getting off my fat ass and adjusting them by hand.
i just don't think i should *have* to... 8)
