I followed your link, and yes there have been many questions ask and answered. Unfortunatley my experience with UEI remotes and their hackability causes me to wonder if there is more potential in the remotes than a first look and the manual reveals. For example, has anyone tried reprograming the ON and OFF button macros? It would be great if ON and OFF could send discrete ON and discrete OFF to the H(r)20, TV AND a receiver/amp as A/V2. Yes, I know I can hit OFF, then slide the remote to A/V2 then hit power twice. It would sure be nicer if that one OFF button press also turned OFF the amp.
It looks like the remote runs this macro for OFF: -DirecTV -Power (or discrete OFF) -TV -Power (or discrete OFF) -DirecTV Then leaves the remote in whatever device the slider is on.
Making it play: -DirecTV -Power (discrete OFF) -TV -Power (discrete OFF) -A/V2 -Power (discrete OFF) -DirecTV Then leaving it in whatever device the slider is on should be easy, IF the remote will take the macro programming command.
Anyone tried? Searching the tech forums at DirecTV found nothing on the subject. I'll try it myself and report. I ask because I know this remote has been out awhile and someone among all the great minds here might have actually tried this already.
