I think that list of HEX Codes you got for the DP600 must be wrong.
In DVD0396 the address code is 0x16, not 0x1d. Most of the advanced functions are different between DVD0396 and the list you posted (so it isn't just the address code that is wrong).
Your list and DVD0396 are both RC5 protocol. Certain functions (such as power toggle and the digits) are standardized within RC5, so those are the same in your list as in DVD0396. But most other functions are different.
Also, I'm not sure how device types are grouped for the 8210, but you said the first upgrade in the emailed wav file was "Video Accesories 0602" and it doesn't work. But if the JP1 RDF file I'm using for 8210 is correct, the first upgrade in that file is SAT/CBL 0602 and it is nearly the same as DVD0396.
If you had selected it with the right device type, it should have worked, since it is so close to the same as DVD/0396.
