Well aside from bad old drivers and a few bad biking accidents, this is the worse thing that has ever happened to me.

I was at work and a coworker dared me to eat a chili pepper. Never missing an opportunity to accept a dare or prove my toughness, I popped the chili in my moth - stem and all and proceeded to swallow.

While I was swallowing it the guy started yelling "NO NO DONT DO THAT! Oh my God! Do you know what you just ate?!!" Scared to death and beginning to feel the heat I made a mad dash to the bathroom ... I had just eaten a havanero pepper without food or drink. (In case you don’t know what that is - a havanero pepper is literally the hottest chili pepper in the world. The hospital said that it has killed people and is known for causing blindness.)

The heat was so incredible...my throat closed up and I could not breathe. I was choking on the pepper as well. I spiked a fever (no joke!) and my eyes burned over 32 hours after eating the damned chili. Along with these came the intense stomach ache and cramps and vomiting....

Sadly enough the entire office thought it was funny... no one would help me. I ended up fainting in the bathroom after having to self-induce (I know - gross I'm sorry!) vomiting because i was choking.

After an hour and a half someone from work decided to check on me... and then, finding me passed out, they called the hospital. By this time the only thing the hospital could offer to do was take me in, treat my fever and "keep an eye" on me. I figured I handled the worse of it on my own... I could handle the rest.

Reading this I sound like such a baby... choking on a chili pepper and almost dieing... *shrugs* Personally I think I'm pretty strong in that I haven’t killed the bastard who gave it to me yet!

I guess what really hurt was the fact that no one even offered to get me a f-in glass of water.

*shrugs* Lets hope no one else decides to choke or worse yet, pass out. Who knows how long they'll have to wait.
