scottster, my apologies if I appear rude, but unfortunately you’ve fallen into the same trap frequented by many a newbie before you. You’ve written your post in the assumption that we know what equipment it is you are using; and in the case of the remotes, have tried.

Questions:

You have three DVD/VCR combo units?

Are they all in the same room?

Are they all the same make and model? (Details of each would help enormously).

Do you have the original remotes?

What other remotes have you tried?

Finally, as gwilly has mentioned (and the note at the bottom of the page states), this is the Intermission Forum; the place where anything, other than remotes, are discussed, ruminated upon and insults fly. It’s likely you’d get a better response if you posted your request in one of the remote forums or, at least, in the Home Theater Forum.
