You probably don't get this across the pond, but I've started watching reruns of Win Ben Stein's Money. The ones with Jimmy Kimmel. It excersizes your brain while giving you a few laughs. It's on our game show channel.

Of course, there's always Monty Python's Flying Circus. The Full Frontal Nudity episode is one of the best with the dead parrot routine.
