Thanks, but that is not anything like what my DVR looks like.

The whole front is almost one solid piece of metal. There is a door for the card, the 5-way buttons and the Tivo button. While there are two LED's in front, the only possible "window" I see is the center Select button. It is a white, semi-opaque, round button. Could that be it? Strange.

Funny thing is, I am getting a response from the unit, even though the front is completely blocked by an object! However, the response is definitely slower since I moved it there.
