Strange how people view things differently. Two “controversial”
films I never actually got to see when they were released;
one was A Clockwork Orange and the other
The Exorcist. Since then, thanks to film
4, I’ve managed to catch up them and to say I was disappointed
would be a major understatement. Frankly I thought them
both dreadful.
A Clockwork Orange I wouldn't even call a horror...if that's where you were going. Frankly, I fought my way through for sake of the experience. The Exorcist will always be a classic but by today's standard has quite a large 'B' factor to it. I personally found Exorcist 3 to be the best of that series for actual thrill/scare appeal. If you want to be disappointed. Try watching the second in the Exorcist series... ....that sucked.
If you want a good cringe. Go see "The Dark Knight" at your local theater. If the Joker's disappearing pencil trick doesn't make you wince...you're not human.
