Strange how people view things differently. Two “controversial”
films I never actually got to see when they were released;
one was A Clockwork Orange and the other
The Exorcist. Since then, thanks to film
4, I’ve managed to catch up them and to say I was disappointed
would be a major understatement. Frankly I thought them
both dreadful.
I have to wonder if Film4 showed the full versions....
I found Clockwork Orange a bit bizarre for my liking......but you do have to keep in mind these flicks were made some 30 years ago. At the time the Exorcist was released, it was truly ground-breaking (same year as Deep Throat I believe....what a wonderful year to be enjoying the cinema!).
Still....to each their own, I guess.
