Not yet.. Full days of work so far and i spent the weekend
with NyQuil and Halls. My girl is coming on the 13 for
valentines day and im flying home with her on the 15th.
Im going to try to jam as much of New Orleans into 1 day
as i possibly can :).

She loves paranormal shows so im going to take her to
an above ground cemetery i spotted. We dont have much
of that in Chicago. I know it seems morbid or creepy (to
me it does anyway) but i think she will enjoy it :).

If you get a chance, great seafood Deenies by the lake, good place for music is the Mapleleaf in Carrollton right next door to the Mapleleaf is a great restaurant - Jacquimo's. Try the alligator cheesecake, the fried green tomatoes. Great place to walk around. My sister lives right around the corner you can hear the music from the Mapleleaf. Supposedly the area behind the Mapleleaf and Jacquimo's is one of three locations for the House of the Rising Sun. Mahalia Jackson was born in that neighborhood.

They have guided ghost tours of the cemeteries and the Quarter.

If you get a chance Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop is cool the oldest building in the Quarters neat little bar. The only electricity in the place is the bar and the "stage" everything else is candle light.
