I find it very hard to believe that you can't get software for the IrDA port on a laptop that will send the same codes as, say the Cambridge Audio M500 universal remote!

It would be great, for example, to be able to label my Mini Discs using my laptop as the 'remote'

Surely ... someone must know how to do this ?
