It's too bad that the software that is going to be reviewed is not Onnniremote Pro.
The combination of Omniremote Pro and one of the Sony
Clie pdas with the enhanced ir strength just blows away the Pronto Pro.
The reasons I say this:
1)Omniremote Pro is FAR superior to the Pronto Edit in terms of being user friendly.
I been reading the horror stories of the learning curve of Pronto Edit for years in the Pronto forum.
2)Superior screen displays on the Sony Clies.
3)Superior battery.Again I base this on the posts in the Pronto forum about the problems with the battery charger for the Pronto.
4)Price.NOT EVEN CLOSE.The Sony 615 is selling on E-BAY for about $260 with about $100 worth of bonus software included for that price.
5)And the biggest advantage of all,the thousands of programs that a Palm based pda can run that a Pronto can not.This includes the free SecondScreenTV
software,which is a real plus for to have a URC.
