I knew there were two ways of doing the functions asigning....I mainly wanted to confirm whether the TV remote software would allow me to assign different functions to the hard cursor present on most PDA's or whether the functions were permanently mapped to vol up/down etc.

It seems from what you and others are saying that I can indeed map different functions within the software. When I think about it this should be the case since the software emulates a ProntoPro....but one can never be absolutely sure.....??

I didnt want to get carried away with modifying Dale's Easy Theatre for my own needs only to find that I could not use the hard cursor keys:-)

I expect I should go away now and have a play...thanks everyone for your help and assistance. Feel free to pass on any more of your experiences with this software.....!!
