I hope this is what you're asking. There are 2 ways to assign functions to hard buttons in Pronto Edit.

1) Double click on SYSTEM Properties, under home and select the hard buttons tab. Select the hard button to program, delete any existing command and then hit "alias". Then from the list, select the BUTTON in the ccf that contains the command you want. Buxe gave you how these keys map to the PDA in a post above. I.e. if you alias the Vol+ hard key to an Up command (for a channel guide) then it will be mapped to the UP key on the PDA's cursor. ALL HARD KEY ASSIGNMENTS MADE IN SYSTEM PROPERTIES ARE GLOBAL. They will work as assigned throughout the ccf.

2) The same procedure as above can be done is DEVICE Properties for any device. The difference is that any settings made here will over ride the global settings, but just for that device. I.e. if you want the cursor pad to do something different when you're in a DVD device, assign these commands using Device Properties.
