I have an old iPAQ (3630) that isn't being put to use so I figured I would purchase TVRemote 5.1 and use it as a home theatre control. I was able to figure out how to edit .ccf's in ProntoEdit4 and how to transfer them to my iPAQ. Where I am having trouble is programming the specific IR to control my devices. I know you select Set IR in the properties for a device but when you choose a Device from the drop down and then the Brand, there are sometimes 10 or 12 choices of Code Set for that brand. For example, I want to set up a favorites Panel for my new Philips DirecTV/TiVo unit (DSR700r). First, I don't see TiVo or Sat as a Device in the drop down so I chose DBS. I then select Philips and find there are 12 choices under Code Set (i.e. Philips 1, Philips 2, etc.) Other than by process of elimination, how can I figure out which code set will work with my system? The same goes for my Sony TV, Nak Tuner, etc. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
