I'm one of he people actively looking for an alternative to PDAWin, so I guess I'm entitled to respond.

As far as I recall, no one has said that PDAWin is terrible software. I've used it quite happily, warts and all, for the last 12 months. And I agree, for $15 it's great value. But it ain't perfect, and as far as anyone can tell, it is not going to get any better. If the vendor will not respond to forums like this, and polite requests for information from its licensed users (like the ones I've sent), well, I'm sorry but some criticism is inevitable.

It's a competitive world out there, and if someone else is prepared to do the work to make a better product, then good on'em. And if that makes PDAWin wake up and start behaving like a responsible vendor, then even better.
