Please help. I have the IPAQ 3955. When trying to use the total remote IR plug-in, nothing happens. I checked out the IR using a night vision camera and the IR LED's are lighting, but are very dim compared to other IR's. The sound coming from the speaker when the IR unit is not plugged in is barely audible. Is this normal? I have to put my ear right next to the speaker to hear the sound. It is like the amp is being bypassed. My guess so far is that the program is not turning up the volume enough to light the IR's effectively.

I bought the remote for the distance, the native IR has a distance of under 10 feet, so does the IRDA which is working.

Techsupport wasn't much help they suggested I try playing with ipaq audio setting (Compaq audio on my ipaq) but this did me no good. If anyone knows of something else I can try, please let me know.
