Hi,

I just bought a HP4350 to use as a remote, and to get my e-mail around the house. The problem that I'm running into is that with the Total Remote IR piece plugged in, I don't get a notification sound when I receive new e-mail. This is a problem because I use e-mail for my business and I need to respond promptly.

So, when using as a remote, I don't find out I have e-mail until I look at the screen, and when not using as a remote, I have to unplug the IR piece, which is not an ideal situation as I will likely lose it before long.

Does anyone have a solution for getting sound to come out of the built-in speaker even while the IR piece is plugged in, or some other solution to this problem?
