I will say that this triggers something I have
found as well. The IR signals are "louder" and
"Brighter" using Native mode than CCF mode. Usable
distance is far greater in Native mode. This
is observed on both my IR extender pyramid and
a CCD camera...
You have brought up a point which is remarkably easy for me to test, so I will. If it turns out there is a difference in output power, IrDA or audio, it will indicate a flaw in the CCF mode code that should be readily fixable.
