Hi Pawn,

Good job! Really a god job. I can't use it in
my palm V due to lack of memory error (with 640k
free!!!) but i saw your job in the palm emulator.
Currently, I am using the ProntoLite from Philips
due it is faster than omniremote (at least in
my palm) but it has some limitations like not
macros, standard interface, etc (maybe the 1.5
version will be more flexible). But now, I really
think try again with Omniremote and your tonks.pdb
(Thanks Daniel!), maybe with some screens, I have
not big quantity of devices.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm a little shocked nobody has done something like this before. Omniremote has the ability at this point (IMO) to really rival the Pronto.

As has been pointed out many times, though, an IR booster is an absolute must.

So, I have some questions
to you:

1) Do you now some method to avoid the error messages
in the Palm Emulator when try to use the IR Port???

Yeah. I had that too. Basically, right click on the screen when the emulator is running, hit "Settings" and turn off all debugging and error handling check boxes. I take it Omniremote uses some not-approved hardware access methods.

2) I have the Ordesktop 1.0.3.7 (not for OR Pro)
and I don't see any graphic in your .pdb, with
the new version 1.0.3.9 you get the graphics?

Sadly, contrary to what they *still* claim ORDestop does not, in any way whatsoever, work with Omniremote Pro.

3) Can you share the graphics with us?

Sure:

Orignal bitmaps:

Bitmaps scaled to 160x160 screen:

Resource files for pLirc:

Also included in this last file are two batch files: one to compile all files and one to rename all files to "prc" files to be installed on Palm.

*note* these files are probably missing items. Sorry. The scaled bitmaps are probably complete. The originals seem to be missing some (just by the zip file size). BTW, there are more bitmaps above than I finally used (due to crashing problems when all images were loaded).

The batch files will be missing some late additions I realized I forgot. I can remember for sure the pause buttons and some of the "home" screen little bits.

Have fun.

Thank you and congratulations for your excellent
job!
