I have encountered a learning problem and I think that the timing is a problem. Let me explain.
I have a DCT2224 cable box. I have intermittent results learning the code. How do I know this? Because the button doesn't work when I press it. In other words, it doesn't perform the function it is supposed to on the cable box.
I have obtained the correct code from remotecentral. I will use the Guide button in this example. It is in the G.I. cable format if I am not mistaken.
The incorrect learned code seems to be incorrect enough for it not to work. They are both on the same frequency of 38.740 Khz. They both have a length of 20 burst pairs.
You might also notice that the incorrect code is just slighty different in what is defined as a 0 or 1. It really jumps out at you. What should be 20 in decimal is 25. What should be 85 in decimal is 80. Is this a common problem in a bad learn? If so, what is this a symptom of?
I might also mention that this behavior is occuring with the Omniremote software with a Tungsten T3.
