No doubt you will have also read the thread I started above this one about IrDA and CIR emitters...
Something else I also noticed when I had the camera switched on and was learning codes for it.
If you learn a code into PDAWin with a long press, when you play it back, the IR transmitter continues to radiate permanently until you tap the key (or another) again. A long learned press keeps the IR emitter turned on, till it is accessed again.

Do you have a 5450? and if so have you had it apart and identified which LED is which? I would like to know the position of them so I can see which one is working with which program.
As I said in the other thread, PDAWin TVR and NEVO both seem to use both LED's, the one closer to the SD slot much brighter than the other . The other (closer to the stylus) is the one used by the iPAQ when communicating with the mobile phone, this is surely the IrDA LED...
With these higher power led's, are you planning to put them in the PDA? or buid a seperate unit?
