Well, in my particular case the only solution was to switch programs. I'm currently testing out Total Remote (from Griffen Technologies). They have a demo of the program and it seems to work pretty well. This new program beams the IR signals instantly and I have no problems with any of my devices. HOWEVER, the D-pad is no longer working and it is a known problem within the program. One of the programmers state that it's a problem that will be resolved in their next revision v3.0 (which might be a long...long time away).
So, at the end of the day, it looks like the PDA for remote control on a Dell X50 using CCF is a mixed bag. On the one had you have Total Remote which works wonderfully except for D-pad control. On the other hand you have PDAWin's TV remote controller which also works well except for the slow as day IR signals.
If anyone can shed any light on the particular issues in each of these programs please post or direct us in the right direction.
