Had the same interest in the IPAQ/NEVO combination.
So I bought one one off ebay RX3115 last November.

Impressions:
- never owned a PDA really cool fun little device
- RX3115 has IR, Bluetooth and WIFI and most importantly Nevo installed.
- Nevo works "well" as an IR remote control device - decent data base onboard, it can learn also. However the display/control buttons are small, and for some equipment it requires you to move to a second screen. (limited hard buttons)
- the media server (music) software is quit nice, load it on your PC, point it towards your music directory and control it from your PDA. Our PC is connected directly to an Onkyo music system. The PDA displays cover art, progress indicator as well as volume control - on one screen.
One of the main reasons I had interest in the PDA was to control my music library without turning on a TV. It does that very well. In fact it can control mutiple locations of PC based music libraries.
Presently we use GBPVR and multiple Hauppauge MVP's for music distribution throughout the house. All is controlled by OFA 8910/9910 remotes.
The PDA hasn't been fully put to use "yet". If money were not an issue I would personally opt for the Nevo handheld remote (more hard buttons). However at $500-600 each it ain't in the cards.
