I should have mentioned that I have the remote, and Steve is correct that it is one serious product. I bought it from etronics. Still waiting for the IRF-6 and video synch.

I have had it about a week. Other remotes that I have owned are the Crestron SmartTouch and Pronto.

The Pronto is a great IR only remote, but once you have had RF to IR operation it is hard to use an IR only remote (especially with macros). The Crestron STS is a great touchscreen remote, and it should be for the price. The one thing that I disliked about it was that it had no hard buttons.

The navigation buttons on the RTI T2 are great for surfing TV, DVD menus, and also for transport buttons.

I programmed the DVD page to have the navigation buttons do multiple commands. If you "press" the lft, rt, up, or down button it will move the cursor in a DVD menu. If you "press and hold" the lft or rt button the DVD will fast forward or rewind while playing; while the up or down will do slow motion, forward or back. The select button if "pressed" will send the DVD menu enter command or if "press and hold" it will send a play command. The options are unlimited.

When the remote is picked up it automatically turns on, and two rechargable batteries are nice.

My Main Menu screen has three selections; Video, Audio, and Options. The Video button takes you to the Video Select page where you select an icon for DVD, LD, RePlay, Cable, or VCR. The Audio button takes you to the Audio Select page where you can select the CD Changer Icon, MD, Tuner, or CD-R icons. With all of the equipment programmed, I have not ran out of memory. Remember I programmed the remote this way, you can do what ever you want. The touchscreen is not as large as the Pronto, but with my fingers I can easily select 12 different buttons on the screen.

If your looking for a new remote you need to check out the T2.
