I know Daniel will give us the lowdown soon enough, but I'm sure there's people out there as impatient as I am so I thought I'd give you a quick first impression:

IMPRESSIVE!

The software is very well behaved and user friendly. Much thought has obviously gone into its design. It not only configures your pages and buttons, but includes IR library manager plus bitmap and custom button editors and library managers.

It really is a snap to configure and works very smoothly. Almost everything (including command assignment) is drag-n-drop.

The only problem I've encountered can be disastrous but is easily avoided. I got a corrupted bitmap library from assigning bitmaps from my library while it was open in the bitmap editor. so moral of the story, don't be tempted - close that library before using!

There are many great features, like assigning two codes to a button which get sent alternately on repeated key presses (first press sends code 1, next press sends code 2). Another is to send a different code if the button is held down longer. These make the small touchscreen extremely powerful for its size. Plus the same applies to the hard keys!

The included sample library has lots of devices. Unfortunately it didn't have the Sony TA-E9000ES :(. But even if I can't get the codes in library form the included IR library manager should make it fairly easy to collect whatever codes I have already in my Pronto.

Well, I hope my unit gets here soon! Cheers,

DJ
