Yup. Give it a shot. When you press the "Edit Text" button, you get a new window. Type your new function in the "function" drop-down box and press enter (or click "Add". When you exit the window, you will see the new functions in the list, without the red dot. Next you can learn IR commands to these functions. Despite a few minor peculiarities, you gotta love this software.
