I agree with jcmitch on using RF for all devices whenever possible.

When there is no choice, I have had no problems, however, using both IR and RF commands in macros when the remote is used in multiple rooms (ie, different local TV's). I have had one occasion for the need to have the remote talk to two defferently addressed IRF-6's and IR output in the same macro. The timing and order of command execution in the macros can be touchy, but it does work.

What would be nice is to, within the macro, choose multiple commands to adjust their properties, similar to grouping button properties.
