EP,
Looks like you got the IR handled form your other post. I recall having some problems similar to what you described. I found out later that those problems were caused by the firmware in the Faroudja...I had them send new chips which corrected some other issues, but by that point I was sold on the 232 control of these units which thus far on several in the field has been flawless.
