From the perspective of a professional installer, I can see many benefits using the terrific configuration software. This, in addition to the hard cursor keys is why I purchased the T2.

Setup and configuration is easy, even for us amateurs, however this does not compensate for the unit's extremely weak ir signal/range and intermittent lapses in unit output while pressing buttons.

If you could take some time to explain to the forum how you worked around these issues, I will gladly retract my negative statements and purchase a new one.

Biggest disappointment though has been with RTI's lack of response to my questions.
