Not directly familiar with the receiver you have. If it is one of those durn Sony remotes with the "Talk back" feature, meaning the receiver and remote communicate with each other, when you hit the buttons to learn the codes, what the RTI is probably seeing first is the communication attempt with the remote trying to find its receiver.

I don't know if that is your problem or not but you might try using some other sony receiver codes and see if you can get any of them to work for you.

Some of those receivers allowed you to switch the communications feature off, but I am not sure that the remote will not still continue to send the request for attention command first even if you do.
