\xHH is correct for hex characters in the T2. It was interesting that several other things were very important.
I was told by an installer that the parity was "none". RTI tech service read through the g90 manual and found that the parity was to be "even"!!! This along with their tech support telling me to be sure the 4-mini plug was pushed hard all the way in...made it work!!! It is really exciting when you work on something for a long time and finally have it function properly.
I learned that the macros you create cannot exceed 60 characters. But one character is \xHH. So it really is like 240 characters. Tech also told me that the macro editor will let you know if you have exceeded the 60 character limit. Good information when you think you have exceeded the limit.
